is it just not going into first or is it slipping? Have you checked the solenoids or fluid? Can you drive it when you just put it in "1".

It drives and you can put in first,but slips if put in drive only,I have done a tranny service with trans x and found a lot of metal shavings in pan and filter ,she said it seems to shift a little better,but still cannot take off in drive.
